Rochelle’s approach

Rochelle’s approach focuses on harmonising your unique mind-body Doshic constitution and targeting the root causes of health imbalances, rather than focusing solely on addressing current symptoms.

What can you expect at your first Naturopath consultation

Go over your individual health history

In your initial 60-minute appointment our Naturopath will take a detailed case history. This will include a thorough understanding of your symptoms as well as any past medical history (including any test results) that might be relevant. To assist our naturopath in understanding your history, please bring your latest test results.

Review your lifestyle and habits

We will review your diet, lifestyle, sleep and technology habits all of which can play a role in the symptoms you are experiencing. If you are already taking dietary supplements or any other natural remedy, please inform our Naturopath in detail.

Dive deeper through targeted testing

Depending on your condition, our naturopath may also recommend additional testing including Live Blood Analysis, Food Sensitivity Testing or Hormone Testing to assist in treating the cause of your illness.

In search of the real cause

Rochelle will work to identify the root cause of any ailments and support the body to return to health. We take time to explain our diagnosis, the underlying symptoms you’re presenting, and the way our treatments work to support you. We encourage our patients to ask questions and be engaged in the treatment.

Working with your other health professionals

With your permission, Rochelle will work with our pharmacists and your doctor to understand your health conditions, and develop solutions that work with those devised by your doctor and our pharmacists.

Learn more about the benefits of Naturopathy (FAQs)

What is naturopathy?

Naturopathy, or naturopathic medicine, is a system of alternative medicine that employs a wide array of natural practices and therapies to support and stimulate the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. Naturopathic medicine is often considered a holistic approach, taking into account the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of an individual.

How does naturopathy work?

Here are some key principles and practices associated with naturopathy:

Healing Power of Nature: Naturopathy recognises the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. The goal is to support and enhance the natural healing processes.

Identifying and Treating the Root Cause: Naturopaths aim to identify and address the underlying causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.

Holistic Approach: Naturopathic practitioners consider the whole person, including physical, mental, emotional, and environmental factors, in their assessment and treatment.

Prevention: Emphasis is placed on preventive measures to maintain overall health and well-being.

Treatment Modalities: Naturopathic treatments may include dietary and lifestyle changes, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, physical therapies, acupuncture, homeopathy, and more.

Individualised Care: Naturopathic practitioners tailor their approach to each individual, recognising that what works for one person may not work for another.

Why and when should you visit a naturopath?

Naturopathic medicine addresses a wide range of conditions, with specialists in integrative oncology, chronic pain, and cardiovascular health. Naturopaths focus on identifying root causes for sustainable solutions, not just temporary relief.

During your initial visit, we delve into your health history to pinpoint underlying causes. Advanced testing may be recommended for a comprehensive treatment plan.

Naturopaths collaborate with conventional medical professionals, blending traditional and modern approaches for personalized care.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine is all about finding balance, not just physically but also mentally and spiritually. It’s like a tailored approach to health that includes lifestyle tips, diet suggestions, herbal remedies, yoga, and even meditation.

When you visit an Ayurvedic practitioner or Naturopath, they’ll figure out your unique constitution and any imbalances. The idea is not just to treat symptoms but to address the root causes.

Does Naturopathic Medicine interact with current medication?

Naturopaths are adept at communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, contributing to the creation of a well-rounded healthcare team focused on the patient’s well-being. It is important to tell your healthcare professionals and Naturopath about all the medicines you are taking, including complementary medicines.
