FAQs

FAQs

Is the Baby Bum Barrier suitable for a baby with sensitive skin?
Heathershaw’s Baby Bum Barrier is formulated with Wool Fat and White Soft Parafin as a base. Both of which are extremely gentle on the baby’s skin making it perfect for babies with sensitive skin as well.

Can the Baby Bum Barrier work to prevent a nappy rash as well as cure it?
Nappy rash is a contact-based skin condition and therefore responds well to barrier protection. Baby Bum Barrier contains zinc oxide, an excellent treatment and skin protector. Nappy rash should respond within 24 hours. However, if the rash doesn’t clear within three days, there might be a secondary bacterial or fungal infection. In this situation an anti-fungal cream or ointment may need to be added to the treatment.
